The 6th Chief Negotiators' Meeting on establishing the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) agreed on Monday to name Jin Liqun, a former Chinese official, as the official candidate for the bank's president.
The chief negotiators from 54 of the 57 founding members of the AIIB (with Sri Lanka, Switzerland and Amman absent) unanimously agreed to choose Jin for the post in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia.(Georgia-AIIB-President)

CAIRO -- A bomb exploded Monday on a bus carrying Egyptian policemen in the country's Delta province of Beheira, killing two and wounding 24 others, state-run MENA news agency reported.

RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia registered on Monday five Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus fatalities and seven fresh cases all in Riyadh, the health ministry said in a statement.

KATHMANDU -- Nepal and India inked the much awaited petroleum-pipeline deal on Monday, initiating the construction of the 41-km pipeline.
