Actor Mel Gibson reported to police after confrontation with photographer

Xinhua, August 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

A photographer has reported Oscar winning actor Mel Gibson to police after claiming the controversial actor verbally abused and spat at her as she snapped him with his new girlfriend.

"He was spitting in my face as he was yelling at me, calling me a dog, saying I'm not even a human being and I will go to hell," Sydney Daily Telegraph photographer Kristi Miller told her paper on Monday.

"It was non-stop, he didn't even breathe. He swore at me constantly."

Miller said Gibson held a clenched fist over her face.

The 59-year-old's girlfriend Rosalind Ross, 24, intervened and told Gibson stop.

Police are looking for witnesses to the incident which happened on Sunday evening outside a cinema.

Gibson is in Sydney, where he grew up, directing a new film. Endi
