At least one person has been killed after two small planes collided in the air at an air show in Dittingen, Switzerland, on Sunday, media reports and police sources said.

A local police spokesman told the media that the two planes were part of a formation of three and they crashed just before noon local time after they touched each other in the air.

Fortunately, the third plane of the formation was not involved in the crash and landed safely.

According to local media reports, the airshow in the village of Dittingen near Basel in northern Switzerland was temporarily interrupted as rescue teams raced to the scene of the crash.

Meanwhile, an aircraft crashed in an airshow in west Sussex, southeastern Britain on Saturday, leaving seven people dead and several injured. Endit
