Algerian troops kill two militants in coastal province

Algerian army troops killed two armed militants overnight Saturday in province of Skikda, 400 km east of Algiers, according to a statement of the defense ministry released on Sunday.

The statement said that "during a successful operation conducted in the locality of Ain Kechra in the province of Skikda, the army and security troops managed to eliminate two terrorists on Saturday overnight."

Army troops have been conducting a wide scale dragging operation in upper woods of the coastal province of Skikda, as several militants and army officers were killed so far. Endit
