China's traffic police on high alert for chemical hazards

China's Public Security Ministry has ordered traffic police nationwide to be on high alert for dangerous chemicals, days after the warehouse blasts in Tianjin.

In a statement Friday, the ministry ordered police forces to tighten approval of transportation permits for toxic chemicals and to intensify roadside checks.

Tourists trips are at a peak and students returning to school just now, also a time for traffic accidents.
