Guangzhou Evergrande beats Shanghai Shenxin 4-2 in CSL

Xinhua, August 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazilian striker Robinho scored twice in his Chinese Super League debut and helped Guangzhou Evergrande beat Shanghai Shenxin 4-2 in the 24th round of 2015 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday.

Guangzhou's Zhang Linpeng scored the opener in the 23rd minute. In the second half, Robinho scored his first goal for Evergrande in the 57th. Michael Barrantes pulled one back for Shenxin in the 59th.

Yu Hanchao collected Zou Zheng's left-wing pass and scored in the 76th. Two minutes later, Ricardo Goulart's clean pass in the penalty area helped Robinho score his second.

Shenxin was awarded a penalty kick in the 86th and Barrantes scored, which was still not enough to save his team.

The 4-2 result temporarily moved Guangzhou Evergrande back to top of the League. Endi
