1st LD: 34 people rescued from sinking ship off Egypt's Red Sea coast

Twenty-seven French tourists and seven Egyptians were rescued Thursday from a sinking ship off the coast of an Egyptian Red Sea resort city, official news agency MENA reported.

All 34 on board the ship, which hit coral reefs and sank off the Abu Dahab area of Marsa Alam city, were rescued by people aboard other tourist vessels nearby, MENA said, quoting security sources.

No casualties were reported. Endit
