Tokyo stocks fall 0.61 pct in morning on stronger yen

Tokyo stocks fell 0.61 percent in the morning session of Thursday as investor sentiment was dampened by gains in the yen against the U.S. dollar.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 122.49 points, from Wednesday to end the morning at 20,100.14. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 15.42 points, or 0.94 percent, to 1,633.06.

Decliners were led by insurance, mining and rubber products issues. Endi
