China's U-19 captain content over victory

The captain of China's Under-19 men's volleyball team, Liu Zhihao, expressed his content on Wednesday with the 3-0 victory over Turkey which has landed his team into the quarter-finals of the World Cup taking place in Argentina.

"We are very happy and we are really lucky to have won," said the athlete after beating his rivals 25-19, 25-22 and 25-20.

"This match was really important for us to advance to the next stage," Liu told the International Federation of Volleyball's official website.

"We didn't want to lose and miss out on the chance to fight for the title. We always try to do our best and today it worked," said Liu.

"I trained a lot for this competition and when my team's attack works, I feel really happy," added the Chinese captain.

Liu's teammate Yu Yuantai scored 17 points, followed by Zhou Liying with 11 and Tao Zixuan with 10 in the city of Resistencia, in the coastal Chaco province.

China will now face Poland who defeated Japon 3-1 to get into the quarter-finals. Endit
