Shanghai official under bribery probe

Dai Haibo, former deputy secretary general of the Shanghai municipal government, is under investigation for taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced on Wednesday.

He has been placed under "compulsory measures," which may include issuing a warrant to compel a suspect to appear, bail pending trial, and residential surveillance.

Dai, 53, also served as executive deputy director of the administrative committee of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone between September 2013 and September 2014. Endi
