Xinhua, August 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

All 54 bodies recovered at the crash site in Papua will be airlifted with helicopters to Sentani of Jayapura, rescuers said here on Tuesday.

"The bodies will be brought with helicopters with hoisting technique from the scene to Oksibil, then from Oksibil they will be moved to Sentani airport (in Jayapura)," Deputy Operation of National Search and Rescue Office Heramus Guru told a press conference at the office.

Three helicopters have been prepared for the evacuation, he said.

"At 12:27 p.m. local time one helicopter from PT Freeport headed to the scene," said Guru.

According to the plan, all the bodies would be sent to Bhayanggkara hospital in Jayapura for identification. Endi
