French stock market index up 0.57 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.57 percent to close at 4,984.83 points on Monday, up 28.36 points.

Although the indicators coming from the U. S. are very disappointing, the CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly higher on Monday with 27 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Monday were Alstom, up 7.20 percent, Credit Agricole, up 2.10 percent, and Lafargeholcim Ltd, up 1.71 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped on Monday were Technip, down 1.47 percent, Renault, down 1.32 percent, and Legrand, down 0.88 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped slightly by 0.65 percent to close at 4,956.47 points, down 30.38 points. Endit
