Xinhua, August 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

RABAT, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), condemned the terrorist plotting against the security, stability and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.

The Director General of the Rabat-based ISESCO, Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, deemed in a statement Monday the disclosure by the security authorities of these ISESCO member states of terrorist cells connected to foreign parties and equipped with weapons and explosives as an "extreme threat to peace and security in the entire region," and a "crime that needs a firm and responsible response of the member states and the international community."

By the same token, he denounced the parties standing behind all the recent terrorist acts and moves as "acting against the teachings of Islam and international law and seeking to destabilize the region for wicked sectarian ends."

Altwaijri said that the confessions of the arrested terrorists revealed the source of terrorism and sectarian incitement, and laid bare the parties seeking to sow chaos and destruction in a number of Member States having suffered from terrorism over the past few years.

He also called for immediate and decisive action against such dangerous developments. Endit
