1st LD: Bomb explodes in downtown Bangkok, killing 5

A loud explosion late Monday hit a crowded downtown area near Erawan shrine in Bangkok which is often visited by tourists.

Five people were killed and 20 others injured, according to local TV reports. Firefighters and ambulances are rushing to the scene.

Police said it is a bomb explosion. Endi
