Ferrari recalls models in China for defective airbags

Xinhua, August 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Ferrari is recalling vehicles in China's mainland due to potential airbag problems, China's top quality watchdog said Monday.

The recall involves 67 imported Ferrari 458 Italia; 458 Spider; 458 Speciale; 458 Speciale A, California T; F12 Berlinetta; and FF, which were manufactured between Feb. 4, 2015 and May 21, 2015, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The recall is due to concerns over improperly assembled driver's-side airbags. The issue could cause an increased risk of injury in a collision, the watchdog said in a statement.

The company will replace the airbags free of charge. The recall started Monday. Endi
