China grabs 12 medals at ISSF World Cup in Azerbaijan

China topped the overall medal standings of the ISSF World Cup in Gabala, Azerbaijan on Saturday with six gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

Trap Men final concluded the tournament running from Aug. 7-15.

The United States finished second with 2-2-1, followed by Russia with 2-1-2.

Thirty-four Olympic Quotas were awarded to 25 different countries and regions, in Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun events.

A total of 267 Rio 2016 shooting quotas have been distributed by the ISSF so far, since August 2014. The remaining 90 quotas will be awarded at the ISSF Shotgun World Championship to be held in Lonato, Italy from Sept. 9-18, and at selected continental championships.

The ISSF World Cup Finals will now be held in Munich, Germany (Rifle and Pistol events) from Sept. 1-7, and in Nicosia, Cyprus (Shotgun events) from Oct. 15-21. Endit
