Singapore stock close 0.73 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 22.47 points, or 0.73 percent, to close at 3,091.78.

A total of 1.28 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 981.8 million Singapore dollars (701 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 241 to 195, while 505 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 30.29 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 3,091.78 on Thursday. Endi
