Xinhua, August 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Friday urged those in conflict in the Middle East to terminate hostility, saying that Indonesia will continue playing roles in international peace keeping.

"I call Muslim brothers in the Middle East to exercise a cessation of hostility and have peace based on the Muslim brotherhood," President Widodo said in his annual speech in front of lawmakers ahead of anniversary Independent Day on Aug. 17.

Under the country's free and active foreign policy, President Jokowi, popular nick name of the president, said that Indonesia's participation in the international peace building and peace keeping persists.

"Indonesia will continuously send troops for peace keeping and building to overseas, mediating conflict," said Jokowi at the parliament building. Endi
