LME base metals prices mostly decrease on Thursday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) mostly closed lower on Thursday.

The U.S. dollar index stopped declining Thursday. It rose 0.26 percent to 96.51 later during Wednesday's trading session, weighing on base metals prices.

Chile's state-owned Codelco mining company on Wednesday said that striking contract workers at its Ministro Hales mine had suspended their labor action, according to local media.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 4 U.S. dollars, or 0.08 percent, to 5,187 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 19.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.22 percent, to 1,575.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price increased 14.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.84 percent, to 1,743.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price increased 5.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.30 percent, to 1,841 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 125 U.S. dollars, or 1.17 percent, to 10,587.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 75 U.S. dollars, or 0.50 percent, to 15,075 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
