French stock market index up 1.25 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 rebounded by 1.25 percent to close at 4,986.85 points on Thursday, up 61.42 points.

After the announcement of China's central bank on the renminbi, the CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Thursday with 35 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Thursday were Capgemini, up 3.66 percent, LVMH, up 2.92 percent, and Pernod Ricard, up 2.63 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped on Thursday were ArcelorMittal, down 1.84 percent, Total, down 0.35 percent, and Lafargeholcim Ltd, down 0.28 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 3.40 percent to close at 4,925.43 points, down 173.60 points. Enditem
