Death toll of Nigeria helicopter crash rises to 6

Death toll of Wednesday's helicopter crash in southwest Nigeria's city of Lagos rose to six on Thursday, following further rescue operation at the crash site, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said.
Four dead bodies were recovered as of Wednesday and six people were rescued after the chopper, with registration number 5N-BDG, belonging to Bristow Airline, plunged into the lagoon of Third Mainland bridge in Oworonsoki area of Lagos.
Ibrahim Farinloye, spokesman of the state-run rescue agency in Lagos, confirmed the death toll has risen to Xinhua, adding authorities have launched investigation into the crash.
State police spokesperson Patricia Amadin, also confirmed the development, saying the aircraft, which was carrying 12 passengers, plunged into the Lagos lagoon immediately after it took off.
Nigeria's Accident Investigation Bureau on Thursday confirmed it has already commenced investigation on the air crash. Endit
