Beijing will shut down roads and close metro stations for night rehearsals of a parade to mark the 70th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, schedule on Sept. 3.

According to the Beijing police, the rehearsals will be held from 10:30 p.m. Aug.13 to 4:00 a.m. next day, and from 10:30 p.m. Aug.15 to 4:00 a.m. next day.

Streets surrounding Tian'anmen Square and Chang'an street, where soldiers will march, will be closed during the rehearsal.

Night parking is also banned on several roads. Vehicles can only enter with permit.

From 11:00 p.m. until to the end of the rehearsals the next morning, five metro stations along Chang'an Street, including Jianguomen, Dongdan, Wangfujing, Tian'anmen East and Tian'anmen West, will also be closed to the public. Endi
