Lebanon demands stop to Israel's violations of its air sovereignty

Xinhua, August 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Lebanon demanded Tuesday an immediate stop to Israel's violations of its air sovereignty in the northern and eastern borders.

The Lebanese army made the remarks during the regular tripartite meeting with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the Israeli army which was held in the southern Lebanese city of Ras al-Naqoura.

The meeting mainly discussed tackling the Israeli air violation in Lebanon's northern and eastern borders, which were demonstrated by the crash of two reconnaissance planes in Tripoli and Saghbine, the Lebanese army said.

"Israeli army officers also violated our land and sea sovereignty and we demanded the immediate ending of all breaches," the Lebanese army added.

They also stressed the need to address the small field incidents so as to prevent them from turning into significant troubles. Endit
