I resign due to ability, says Chinese women's soccer head coach

Chinese women's soccer head coach Hao Wei on Saturday confirmed his resignation after China lost to Japan 2-0 in their last game of the Women's East Asian Cup, saying the reason to resign was his ability.

After leading China into the last 8 of the World Cup in Canada, Hao was rumored to leave the post of head coach for Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande. And Hao, who had coached the team for more than three years, confirmed it after the last match of East Asian Cup.

"I have been feeling tangled during the tournament, I want to win the games. I feel my ability is not strong enough and I want to enrich my knowhow and to have a good coach for further study," said Hao.

On his possible successor, Hao said that he had no recommendation, saying that "Thanks to my teams and the Chinese Football Association, I hope they could find a good coach to help the players." Endi
