U.S. Pacific Fleet chief tours New Zealand

Commander of the United States Navy Pacific Fleet, Admiral Scott Swift arrived here on Saturday for a three-day visit and talks with Royal New Zealand Navy commanders.

The visit was part of a regional tour following last month's visit by the Commander United States Pacific Command, Admiral Harry Harris, said a statement from the New Zealand Defence Force.

Swift took command of the U.S. Pacific Fleet in May, and had his headquarters at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

New Zealand's Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral Jack Steer said he was hosting Swift. Endi
