Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen flew to Singapore on Saturday to attend the celebrations of Singapore's 50th anniversary of independence, which falls on August 9, a spokesman said.

"The prime minister, as high representative of King Norodom Sihamoni, will participate in the commemorations on Sunday," Sry Thamarong, a spokesman for Hun Sen, told reporters at Phnom Penh International Airport before departure.
