Cambodia has donated 100,000 U.S. dollars to flood-hit Myanmar, according to a statement from the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

"Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, wishes to contribute humanitarian relief aid of 100,000 U.S. dollars to the victims and bereaved families of this deadly natural disaster," the statement said.

"The Royal Government of Cambodia hopes that the meager donation will contribute to mitigating the hardship of the victims, and that with the timely efforts of the Government of Myanmar, the victims' situation will recover soon," it said.

At least 69 people have been killed and nearly 270,000 others displaced by floods and landslides in Myanmar in recent days, according to Myanmar's Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. Endi
