Six Vietnamese thieves deported

Xinhua, August 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

A group of six Vietnamese thieves have been deported from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region after they were released from a Chinese prison.

After entering China via Dongxing Port in Guangxi on June 12, 2014, the six then went to Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province and stole clothes from a shopping mall on July 4, 2014, Xi'an police said.

Two of them were caught by security guards in the mall and four others were arrested the next day. The police seized 76 items of clothing worth about 13,235 yuan (2132 U.S. dollars) from them.

They were sentenced to 13 months in prison in Xi'an and fined 5,000 yuan each, the police said. Endi
