"The government would like to thank outgoing Chief Secretary Paudyal for his outstanding performance and his work toward conducting good administration while in office," the government spokesman told reporters in Kathmandu after the meeting.

The new Chief Secretary is starting his three-year stint on Friday, the spokesman added.
