Tokyo stocks end lower in morning on concerns over U.S. economy

Tokyo stocks ended 0.10 percent lower in the morning session of Tuesday on concerns over U.S. economy after the release of soft manufacturing data.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 21.17 points, from Monday to end the morning at 20,526.94. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 0.71 point, or 0.04 percent, at 1,658.89.

Decliners were led by agriculture and fisheries, mining and nonferrous metals. Endi
