Brazilian starlet Barbosa turns down CSKA Moscow offer

Brazilian starlet Gabriel Barbosa has rejected a proposal to join CSKA Moscow, according to media reports.

The Russian club is prepared to offer up to 15 million euros to sign the 18-year-old ahead of the Aug. 31 transfer deadline, Brazilian news portal Lancenet said on Saturday.

But it is understood the player is seeking a move to western Europe.

Barbosa, who earlier this year was linked with a move to China, has scored 13 goals in 55 matches for Santos since 2013.

He has been capped by Brazil at U-15, U-17 and U-20 levels. Endi
