Chinese National Youth Team beat Shandong Luneng 4-2 in Weifang Cup

Chinese National Youth Team beat Shandong Luneng youth team 4-2 in Luneng Weifang Cup International Football Tournament here on Thursday. The semi-finals were postponed to Friday due to heavy rain.

It was the first win for the Chinese national youth team, which fielded players two years younger than the other seven teams.

In the first half, Shi Jinshuai and Ye Erfan scored for Chinese national youth team at the 19th minute and the 35th minute respectively.Shandong Luneng' s Zeng Mingyu scored twice at the 64th and the 87th minutes. However, Liu Ruofan scored again for Chinese national youth team at th 79th minute. Zhang Hao made it 4-2 at the 88th minute.

The Chinese national youth team will compete with the defending champion River Plate for the fifth position.

The semi-finals between ADO Den Haag and Wolfsburg, Guadalajara and Guimaraes have been postponed to Friday due to heavy rain.

Seven youth teams of clubs from Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, China, the Netherlands, along with China's national youth team, are competing in the tournament running from July 26 to August 1. Endi
