Indian President Pranab Mukherjee late on Wednesday night rejected Muslim terrorist Yakub Memon's mercy plea, paving the way for his execution Friday for his role in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts

The rejection of the mercy petition dashed all hope for life of Memon, 53, who will be hung by 07:00 a.m. at a high security prison in the western state Maharashtra.

He sent a fresh clemency plea to the president on Wednesday. Endi
