1 killed, 6 injured in SW China axe attack

One person was killed and another six were injured by an axe-wielding man in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Wednesday afternoon, local authorities announced.

A man started to attack people at a grocery store in Machang Village in Liuzhou City at around 5 p.m., according to witnesses.

An investigation showed that the man is a tenant at a nearby house.

The suspect is in police custody and further investigation is under way, police said. Endi
