Chinese National Youth Team suffers three consecutive defeats in Weifang Cup

Chinese National Youth Team' s lost 0-4 to Argentinos Juniors youth team on Thursday in Luneng Weifang Cup International Football Tournament.

It was the third straight defeat for the Chinese national youth team, which fielded players two years younger than the other seven teams.

In the first half, Batallinl opened the scoring at the 28th minute for Argentinos Juniors. After the break, Argentinos Juniors dominated the match and scored two more goals at the 48th and 75 minutes respectively. Zorilla made it 4-0 at the 80th minute.

In other matches, the defending champion River Plate beat Shandong Luneng 2-1. Wolfsburg beat Vitoria Guimaraes1-0. Mexican C.D. Guadalajara edged ADO Den Haag 1-0 .

Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, Portuguese Guimaraes, Mexican C.D. Guadalajara and ADO Den Haag qualified for Weifang Cup semi-final after the final games in group phrase.

Seven youth teams from Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, China, the Netherlands, along with China's national youth team, are competing in the tournament running from July 26 to August 1. Endi
