Tokyo shares end lower by break on weak earnings reports

Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower on Wednesday on weaker-than-expected earnings forecasts from major Japanese firms.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 117.93 points, or 0.58 percent, from Tuesday to 20,210.96.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 2.22 points, or 0.14 percent, at 1, 627.24. Endi
