French stock market index up 1.01 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.01 percent to close at 4,977.32 points on Tuesday, up 49.72 points.

With Greece and its creditors restarting the negotiations, the CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Tuesday with 36 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Kering, up 5.57 percent, Solvay, up 3.10 percent, and LVMH, up 3.01 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Tuesday were Michelin, down 6.07 percent, GDF Suez, down 1.96 percent, and Alcatel-Lucent, down 1.33 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC experienced a decrease of 2.57 percent to close at 4,927.60 points, down 129.76 points. Endit
