Hebei Party chief dismissed amid graft probe

Zhou Benshun has been removed from his post as Party chief of north China's Hebei province, the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee announced Tuesday.

Zhou is under investigation for suspected "severe violation of discipline and the law" by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).

Zhou was also deprived of the post as chairman of the Standing Committee of Hebei Provincial People's Congress, the local legislative body. Endi
