Australian dollar continues decline

Xinhua, July 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Australian dollar continued its week-long slide on Monday.

Falling commodity prices saw the currency at 72.70 U.S. cents, down from 73.02 U.S. cents on Friday.

On Friday it fell as low as 72.06 U.S. cents on the back of weak Chinese manufacturing data, its weakest level since May 2009.

With the strong U.S. dollar also putting pressure on the Australian dollar, the next downside target is 70 U.S. cents. Endi
