Real Madrid and Alibaba reach strategic partnership

Real Madrid football club announced that they would open the flagship store outside of Spain in Tmall.HK as the Spanish Giants established the strategic partnership with China's online retailer Alibaba Group here on Sunday.

"We are the best club in the world, the establishment of strategic partnership with Alibaba will help us make a further step in business cooperation with China," said Florentino Perez, the chairman of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid, the 10-time winner of the Champions League, became the second Europe top club to open the flagship store in Tmall.HK after the German powerhouse Bayern Munich. And the jerseys, shoes, casual wear will be put on sale in the flagship store according to the agreement.

"Alibaba is a sales platform, we hope that we can bring more commodities of Real Madrid to China," said Zhang Jianfeng from Alibaba Group.

Real Madrid are scheduled to play against Inter Milan and AC Milan on July 27 and 30. Endi
