Four local officials in NW China investigated for graft

Xinhua, July 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

Prosecutors in northwestern China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region are investigating four local officials for graft, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said Sunday.

The four are Xia Xiyun, a former senior Communist Party of China official from Ningxia's capital Yinchuan city; Chang Limin, former head of Ningxia's local farm and land reclamation corporation; Zhang Xingbin, a former senior Communist Party of China official from Wuzhong city; and Zheng Xinping, former deputy head of the Yellow River Rural Commercial Bank.

All four are suspected of taking bribes, the SPP said, adding that Xia has been put under "coercive measures", which may include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest.

Chang, Zhang and Zheng, meanwhile, have already been arrested, it said. Endi
