Former German international Kevin Kuranyi returned into the Bundesliga as he reinforce Hoffenheim' s offence, the "TSG" confirmed via the club' s official homepage on Saturday.

The 33-year-old striker, who played since July 2010 for Russian outfit FC Dinamo Moskva, has penned a one-year deal that keeps him in Hoffenheim until June 2016.

"After five years in Russia I am highly motivated to prove myself again in the Bundesliga. Germany is a big challenge for me which I will face with enthusiasm," Kuranyi said.

Kevin Kuranyi is a familiar face in the Bundesliga as he already played for Stuttgart (2001-2004) scoring 40 goals and for Schalke (2005-2010) scoring 71 goals.

"The entire team will benefit on and off the pitch from his many years of experience at the highest level in professional soccer," Hoffenheim' s director of professional soccer Alexander Rosen said.

Kuranyi made overall 261 Bundesliga appearances and provided 111 goals. He was also part of Germany' s national squad from 2003 until 2008 but was banned by head coach Joachim Loew due to an incident in 2008. However, he played 52 international caps and scored 19 goals.

Hoffenheim' s new arrival will replace striker Sven Schipplock who joined Hamburg recently.
