Shallow quake strikes off western Java, Indonesia

Shallow undersea-quake measuring 5. 7 stoke off western Java of Indonesia earlier Saturday, Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics said.

The quake hit at 04 : 44 a.m. Jakarta time (0144 GMT) with epicenter at 111 km southeast Ciamis of West Java and with the depth at 10 km under seabed, an official of the Indonesian agency told Xinhua.
