Xinhua, July 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

Direct flights between Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, and Malaysian tourist spot Sabah will be launched by Malaysia Airlines on Sunday, Zhengzhou's airport announced on Friday.

The 4.5-hour flight will fly every five days, according to the Xinzheng International Airport.

The outbound flight will depart from Zhengzhou at 11:35 p.m. and arrive in Sabah at 4 a.m. local time the next day.

Sabah is known for its beautiful parks and seaside attractions.

Zhengzhou has intensified efforts to boost tourism, with the airport launching several international air routes recently. The airport serviced a total of 570,000 passengers in the first six months of 2015, a year-on-year increase of 47 percent. The airport said international and regional air routes are the most popular.
