Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday was little changed and closed at 11,512.11 points.

As companies are publishing their quarterly financial results which are mixed, the blue-chip index lost 8.56 points, or 0.07 percent.

Infineon Technologies AG, a semiconductor company, which lost 6.34 percent on Wednesday, rebounded and added 2.34 percent.

LANXESS AG, a specialty chemicals company, advanced by 1.6 percent. K+S Aktiengesellschaft, a supplier of standard and speciality fertilizers, rose by 1.34 percent. Henkel AG & Co. KGaA Vz, a home care company, climbed by 0.88 percent and adidas AG went up by 0.79 percent.

On the other hand, Linde AG, an industrial gas company, lost 1.38 percent. ThyssenKrupp AG slipped by 0.91 percent. Continental AG dropped by 0.88 percent. Deutsche Boerse AG plunged by 0.71 percent and Daimler AG went down by 0.64 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.1 billion euros (around 3.41 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 533.77 million euros. (1 euro = 1.10 U.S. dollars) Endit
