French stock market index down 0.47 pct Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.47 percent to close at 5,082.57 points on Wednesday, down 24 points.

With the international gold price dropping, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Wednesday with 27 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The top three gainers on Wednesday were Bouygues, up 2.16 percent, Peugeot, up 1.21 percent, and Accor, up 1.12 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Wednesday were ArcelorMittal, down 3.30 percent, Valeo, down 2.90 percent, and Safran, down 2.26 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.70 percent to close at 5,106.57 points, down 35.92 points. Endit
