Pakistani army evacuates Japanese woman mountaineer

Pakistani army helicopters on Wednesday evacuated a female Japanese mountaineer Sumiyo Tsuzuki in Northern Areas, the military said.
Tsuzuki was part of Broad Peak, the World 12th highest mountain 's international expedition, an army statement said.
It added that she has been shifted to Combined Military Hospital in Skardu.
Renowned New Zealand mountaineer, mountain guide and tour operator Russell Brice has arrived in Pakistan to lead a team of accomplished mountaineers to Broad Peak (8,047 m) and K-2 (8,611 m) .
International team from Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, the United States, Britain, Japan, Germany and Austria are taking part in the expedition, according to the organizers.
It was third rescue mission of foreign climbers by army aviation pilots in last two weeks.
On July 14, a Slovenian mountaineer, Kajetan Rock Decman, suffering from high altitude sickness, was rescued from the Karakoram mountain range by a Pakistan Army Aviation helicopter. He had fallen sick during an expedition in the Karakoram mountain range at a height of about 6,000 metres.
Earlier on July 8 Pakistan Army rescued US mountaineer Robert Jackson from K-2 base camp, airlifting him to Skardu for treatment. The 38-year-old was part of a 27-member team on an expedition to summit K-2, having arrived in Pakistan on June 16. Endi
