Chinese youth player Lin joins Real Madrid on 5-year contract

Xinhua, July 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid signed a five-year contract with Lin Liangming, a winger of Chinese U-19 team, on 300,000 euros this week.

Real Madrid are seeking to have one Chinese in their squad, but the national team players are not persuasive enough to interest the Spanish club, instead Lin from China's U-19 squad makes the deal inked.

Lin will join the Real Madrid U-19 youth team to play the European Youth League first to be slated for the La Liga line-up.

In the U-19 eight-nation tournament in Slovakia on April, Lin's performance won himself the attention of top clubs and a couple of European outfits showed their willingness to sign him. Lin further proved his outstanding ability during the Lisbon Cup in Portugal in June.

Lin is fast and very skillful in ball control. Real Madrid's scout was present in the two tournaments and impressed by Lin's capability, which made the contract happen. Endi
