Dollar trades in lower 124 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 124 yen range early Tuesday in Tokyo, almost unchanged from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 124.30-33 yen compared with 124.26-36 yen in New York at 5 p.m. Monday. The Tokyo market was closed Monday for a national holiday.

The euro fetched 1.0833-0834 dollars and 134.65-67 yen against 1.0821-0831 dollars and 134.45-55 yen in New York late Monday afternoon. Endi
