Chinese shares close higher Monday

Chinese shares closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.88 percent to close at 3,992.11 points in the day.

The smaller Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.52 percent to close at 13,202.40 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, rose 2.33 percent to end at 2,848.30 points. Endi
